Homeopathic Remedies for Scabies

Of all the homeopathic remedies that claim to reduce the severity and length of scabies, there is one method that is not only extremely popular, but has also been proven to work quite effectively. The method in question is no other than sulphur.

In traditional homeopathic medicine, it is recommended that for cases of scabies, sulphur salves should be used for five nights in a row. After taking a bath, the afflicted individual should apply the salve to every area of the body between the neck and ankles, including the hands. Once the salve is complete, it is highly recommended that the individual wear long underwear until the next bath and salve treatment. Additionally, cotton gloves should be worn during the night. This set of clothing will allow the sulfur to collect and work as effectively as possible. After five nights of sulphur salves, the long underwear should be removed and a cleansing bath should be taken. After this bath, the individual can once again begin wearing new clothes each day. If any sort of itching or discomfort continues, olive oil can be applied two to three times per day for as long as is necessary.

In reality, there are very few situations where homeopathic medicine can actually perform as well or better than the options offered by modern medicine. However, for many people, homeopathic medicine is about much more than simply treating an ailment. Homeopathic medicine is a lifestyle, and it is important that those people who choose to participate in it be given the most accurate information as possible.
